Description

In order to quickly diagnose and repair the many complex systems in today’s high-tech vehicles, the fundamentals of these systems have got to be second nature to today’s automotive repair technicians. AVI can help you build up the knowledge you need to make this happen.

Video Clip:

In this course David Hobbs covers how an alternator works and how they provide power. He explains the components of an alternator: their functions and why they do what they do. This program also covers types of alternator fields, what they are, and how they differ. The course explains the function of a voltage regulator: how diodes work and what causes current change. David also provides hands-on test procedures using a VAT 40, volt meter and amp meter.

Free up your brain for more complex issues by making the basics second nature. By mastering the basics, you could be on your way to becoming a “super tech.” This class will help you build up the knowledge to become a master of the fundamentals of charging systems.
