The terminology and diagrams used on VW and Audi vehicles are very different from domestics and other imports. AVI can finally help any shop profitably diagnose and repair VW’s and Audi’s with this long awaited training program with ATG instructor Ross Wellwood. This course contains information and tips to help techs who are considering service of these vehicles as well as experienced European technicians.

Ross shows you how to interpret the current track wiring diagrams and explains how they are different from SAE diagrams you are probably used to. He explains the Motronic engine and covers the components, common problems, and flooding and ECT harness issues.

Although scan tool data can be obtained with most scanners, the format is in measuring blocks and this program explains how to use them. Ross also covers ignition/misfire issues including sensors, trigger testing, COP (coil on plug) system testing, and the types of signals used.

The course covers the components of the fuel system, fuel trim, wideband 02 testing, the returnless fuel system, fuel pump relay and MAF sensors. Ross also explains the intake system covering the different drive by wire systems and provides scan tool information for diagnosing the system and a throttle relearn procedure.
